Parameters: the fields that have to move when the curve does

A parameter block is not a preference sheet. Each field is a bet about which failure is cheaper, and on a curve the odds on that bet change as the reserve grows. A size band chosen against a small reserve becomes a different instrument once the reserve has multiplied, even though the number in the field never changed.

The notes in this section take the fields that move most and derive them rather than recommending them. Where a value appears, it is arithmetic with its inputs shown, and the page states what breaks at the bottom of the range and what breaks at the top so the choice can be argued about honestly.

The eight fields, and what each end of the range breaks

This is the sheet the phase notes fill in. It is deliberately short, because a block with thirty fields is a block nobody re-derives when the curve moves.

Phases

A curve token is never in one state for long. These notes take the campaign decisions phase by phase, because the same swap size that is sensible at the bottom of a curve is a different instrument two thirds of the way up it.
